On Being a Doctor
Few professions are as inherently dramatic as medicine. It is no surprise, then, that many physicians have recorded their experiences through essays, stories, and poems especially for an audience of their peers.

GIMSPP
The General Internal Medicine Statewide Preceptorship Program (GIMSPP) is a mentorship program that gives medical students an opportunity to spend time with an internist practicing in a community based hospital or clinic.
Mission
The mission of the Texas Academy of Internal Medicine is to promote quality health care for all Texans by strengthening the practice of internal medicine.
