New Governor-elect of the ACP's Texas Southern Region

Dear Colleagues,

Robert Jackson

I'm writing to inform you of the results of our recent balloting for a new Governor-elect of the ACP's Texas Southern region. As you know, we had two outstanding candidates, Robert E. Jackson, MD, FACP and Ned Snyder III, MD, FACP. I want to acknowledge and thank them both for their enthusiastic work on behalf of the Texas Chapter over many years.

I am happy to announce that Robert Jackson was selected to be the next Texas Southern Governor. Following a year as Governor-elect, he will begin his four-year term in April 2011. As Governor, Dr. Jackson will serve as the official representative of the Texas Southern region at the College, providing a link between members at the local level and leadership at the national level. I'm confident that he will represent us well.

To learn more about Dr. Jackson's background and experience, please see his biography and vision statement (link).

Sincerely,
Andrew K. Diehl, MD, FACP
ACP Governor, Texas Southern region
